SEMNET-SAPI Launches “Bente”

As a concrete response to the signs of the times, “Bente: Tubig at  Panalangin para sa mga Magsasaka” was organized by the SEMNET Secretariat last December 4, 2008 for the benefit of displaced farmers coming from Negros Occidental, Calatagan, Batangas and Banasi, Camarines Sur. This project is in collaboration with San Jose Seminary’s Social Awareness and Political Involvement (SAPI) and the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB).

SEC Approves SEMNET Registration

The Securities and Exchange Commission has finally approved the registration of SEMNET as a non-stock, non-profit organization last June 20, 2008. In this regard, the organization is now officially known as The Diocesan Seminarians’ Network of the Philippines, Incorporated (The SEMNET, Inc.).

Presently, the Organization is composed of 25 member-seminaries scattered all-over the Philippines with its Secretariat based at San Jose Seminary inside the Ateneo de Manila University Campus, Quezon City.
